We wrote the book on it. Literally.
Sixteen pages. Every producer’s story. The grape, the grove, the family name, the pairing. It’s the guide we wished existed when we started — now yours, free. No email required.
Because the 13th didn’t make it past our kitchen.
We taste everything before it goes on this page. These are the jars, bottles and wheels we keep buying for ourselves — and the ones that never last long at the flat.
The Wall of Fame
12 iconic Calabrian & Southern Italian products — the ones that never leave our table.
The fruit behind Earl Grey. The base of Dior Sauvage. It grows on exactly 100km of Calabrian coastline — and nowhere else on earth. They tried Brazil. California. Australia. Nothing worked. Only here, where two seas meet at the toe of Italy. The marmalade is below. Order two jars.
3,000 years of winemaking. The wine that fuelled ancient Olympians at Krimisa. Nine families formed the Cirò Revolution — their logo is a fist gripping pruning shears. In 2025 it became Calabria’s first DOCG. It was always great. Now it’s official.
Spreadable fire. Born in Spilinga, where Stromboli’s volcanic spray feeds the thin-fleshed chili that makes it what it is. No preservatives — the chili IS the preservative. The Sagra della ‘Nduja: every August 8th, since 1975. Jar format travels well. You won’t finish it fast enough anyway.
